Your Impact and Responsibilities
  • Rapidly ideate and prototype retail fixtures, executing light construction to bring designs to life.
  • Produce digital and physical look-and-feel iterations, constructing scale mock-ups for review.
  • Manage large format printing and 3D printing execution, providing essential comping support for stakeholder presentations.
  • Act as a creative thought partner, collaborating effectively with other designers to develop exceptional design solutions.
  • Autonomously lead and manage prototyping projects from conception to completion.
  • Craft models and mockups using various materials to explore early design thinking.
  • Operate and program specialized equipment including 2D plotters, 3D printers, laser cutters, vinyl cutters, sewing machines, and soldering tools.
  • Develop 2D design files, focusing on design layout and typography.
  • Create 3D design files using advanced modeling software.
  • Utilize AI tools for ideation and stay current with evolving AI capabilities in design.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) for 2D design file creation, layout, and typography.
  • Proficient in 3D modeling software such as SketchUp, SolidWorks, Rhino, and collaborative tools like Figma and Miro, along with cloud-based productivity software.
  • Experience with 3D Printing technology.
  • Proficiency with 2D Printing & Cutting equipment, including various inkjet printers and vinyl cutter plotters.
  • Skilled in Fabrication techniques, including CNC, Laser Cutting, Sandblast cabinet operation, and sewing machine use.
  • Familiarity with Visual display technologies, including Digital Projectors, LED panels, and touchscreens.
  • Competency in Woodworking tools, such as table saws, bandsaws, chop saws, jig saws, routers, and various hand tools.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial design or retail design.
  • Highly motivated, determined problem-solver with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, flexible individual with strong communication skills.
  • Able to balance a passion for DIY with collaborative problem-solving.
  • Comfortable and proficient with hands-on design and prototyping, without depending solely on virtual design tools.
  • Collaborative, flexible, adaptable, and organized.
  • Graphic design and production skills are a plus.
