Production Manager – Screen Printing and Embroidery Services


Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and organized Production Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our screen printing and embroidery services. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of screen printing, as well as, knowledge of embroidery production. This role is responsible for day-to-day production, managing staff, quality control, inventory management, and driving efficiency while making sure orders are completed accurately and on time in a fast-paced production environment. Must be able to complete production team job responsibilities if employees are absent from work, which may include working on your feet for an extended amount of time.


Key Responsibilities

Overall Production Management: Oversee daily screen print production, including job setup, printing, and finishing. Complete understanding of the entire screen-printing process including pre-press/screen development, ink/color theory, on-press techniques, quality control, and apparel finishing is a must. Monitor stitching quality, thread tension, color accuracy, and overall output Working knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) as it relates to screen printing and embroidery production.


Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control standards across all production stages.


Team Leadership: Supervise and train production staff as needed, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.


Equipment Oversight: Ensure proper maintenance and operation of equipment. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.


Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods to ensure timely job completion


Scheduling: Prioritize and schedule jobs effectively according to customer promise dates. May require overtime or evening hours to meet production deadlines or address urgent issues.


Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and company policies, while keeping the production area clean and organized


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in production environments, specifically with embroidery, printing, and warehousing (receiving and shipping) operations. Includes pre-production, production, post-production activities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
  • Bilingual proficiency is required.
  • Proficiency in relevant production software and systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience in a production setting is desirable.
