Sheetfed LED-UV Printing Press Operator Needed

Interprint Web Printing is seeking a meticulous, quality-driven Sheetfed Printing Press Operator to join our dynamic production team in Clearwater, FL. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality printed materials.

In this role, the Press Operator will be responsible for the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of our high-speed 40-inch, 5-color LED-UV Komori Lithrone sheetfed printing press. The press is equipped with an AQ Coater and instant LED-UV curing capabilities, combining traditional offset printing excellence with advanced technology for fast, efficient, dry-to-touch production.

The Press Operator will oversee press operations throughout production runs, ensuring accurate color, registration, consistency, and overall print quality. Responsibilities include making necessary press adjustments, monitoring equipment performance, maintaining production standards, and identifying and resolving mechanical or printing issues as they arise. The operator will also direct and supervise the press crew, coordinating workflow and ensuring that all team members follow established production, quality, and safety procedures. The successful candidate will work efficiently to meet production schedules while maintaining Interprint Web Printing's high standards of quality.
Komori Equipment Features:

- LED-UV Curing Technology

- Inline Aqueous Coater (AQ)

- Automatic Wash-Up Ink rollers, blanket cylinders, impression cylinders

- KHS-AI (Komori Hyper System with AI): Self-learning ink presetting and register system that slashes setup waste (makeready sheets) to a fraction of traditional presses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate a 40-inch, 5-color LED-UV Komori Lithrone sheetfed printing press with AQ Coater.
  • Operate and monitor AQ coating and instant LED-UV curing systems.
  • Prepare presses for production, including plate, paper, ink, coating, and feeder/delivery setup.
  • Monitor color, registration, ink density, coating, and overall print quality throughout production runs.
  • Make press adjustments and corrections as needed to maintain quality and minimize waste.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and printing problems and perform routine press maintenance.
  • Lead and direct the press crew during production.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pressroom.
  • Follow all company quality, production, and safety standards.
  • Work efficiently to meet production schedules and customer specifications.
  • Inspect finished work to ensure it meets established quality requirements.

Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience operating multi-color sheetfed printing presses, preferably Komori Printing equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of multi-color offset printing processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and color/registration accuracy.
  • Ability to lead and work effectively with a press crew.
  • A strong commitment to quality, productivity, and safety.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during production.
    • Compensation: Pay rate commensurate with experience and qualifications.
