Job description

About the Role
Prisma is seeking an experienced Digital Press Operator to join our production team. This position is
responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting our digital press equipment
while producing high-quality printed products that meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate is
detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial print
production environment.
Essential Responsibilities
• Operate and maintain Xerox and Ricoh digital press equipment
• Read and interpret job tickets to determine setup specifications and production requirements
• Set up print jobs using proper setup techniques
• Inspect equipment before and after each production run
• Monitor product quality, including print accuracy, size, warp, and overall appearance
• Maximize machine productivity while maintaining quality standards
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor mechanical repairs
• Report equipment issues and submit maintenance work orders as needed
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe
• Remove and replace damaged materials using hand tools when necessary
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and troubleshooting
• Support other departments as needed to maximize production efficiency
• Utilize measuring tools and inspection equipment to verify product quality
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
• High school diploma or GED required
Experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating and maintaining digital printing equipment or equivalent
manufacturing experience
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of digital printing equipment and processes
• Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and color accuracy
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and repair experience
• Basic computer skills for entering production data
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Experience using measuring devices such as rulers, calipers, and micrometers
• Ability to identify common packaging and print defects
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Willingness to work overtime when needed
Physical Requirements
• Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing, and close visual inspection throughout the shift
• Frequent use of hands for handling equipment and materials
• Occasional bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
