Job description

Position Overview:

The Merchandise and Apparel Specialist is responsible for producing and overseeing the creation of high-quality custom apparel and promotional products through the operation and supervision of embroidery and screen-printing equipment. The specialist plays a vital role throughout the entire production process—from setup to final inspection—ensuring that all designs are applied accurately to a variety of materials while upholding high quality standards and maintaining consistency with brand guidelines.

In addition to production responsibilities, the specialist supports the day-to-day operations of the Campus Store, which may account for up to half of their time. This position works closely with and supports the Campus Store Manager. In the manager’s absence, the specialist is expected to operate the store independently, ensuring seamless daily operations.

Education:

  • High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience in a screen printing, embroidery and/or digital print shop
  • Some retail experience helpful

Licenses / Certifications

  • Valid PA driver’s license

Work-Related Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of apparel and merchandise decoration
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience creating industry standard design files while working within brand guidelines
  • Wide Format Printing experience preferred
  • Experience with promotional items preferred
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
