About the Team: 

The Powder Bed Fusion manufacturing team develops, creates, and operates the most advanced additive manufacturing technologies in the world. This best-in-class team makes sure that the infrastructure, materials, tools, and equipment are in place for us to rapidly iterate and print. The Powder-Based manufacturing team was crucial to manufacturing Aeon-1 for first launch and now are developing and demonstrating groundbreaking technologies, design, and approaches for Aeon-R!

About the Role:

This is a 2nd shift position with a standard schedule of 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM PT, Monday through Friday. The role includes a 10% shift differential added to the base pay. Please note that this position is structured around a baseline expectation of a 50-hour workweek, which may include occasional overtime as needed to meet operational goals.

  • Setup, Operate, and Monitor PBF Printers, Depowdering Machinery, and Supporting Equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of PBF equipment.  
  • Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, defects, surface quality, and perform necessary rework  
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of work performed
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Team to develop and implement new printing processes
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines ensuring a safe work environment 

About You:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ Years Experience in PBF Printer Operation or other Additive Manufacturing technologies
  • Proficient in operating PBF Printers and Support Equipment such as EOS, AMCM, Velo3D, Solukons and a solid understanding in various PBF printing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality parts.  Experienced in inspecting PBF Parts for defections and dimensional accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and maintain accurate records.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues related to the PBF Printing process. 

Nice to haves but not required:  

  • 3+ years working as a Powder Bed Fusion Technician
  • 2 Year Associate Science in Advanced Manufacturing Technology (or equivalent)
  • Certification in PBF Operation or Maintenance applications
  • Experience in CAD Software or Programming PBF Printers
