POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced on-site Print Shop Manager who has experience within a printing industry, who can become an integral member of the team.

*Printing Experience and Large Format Printing is Required!*

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Partners with shop and remote leadership to provide administrative and managerial support for the designated shop
  2. Assists Shop Manager in organizing the shop workforce during regular hours or in an extra hours situation
  3. Monitors jobs in production and communicates with production and graphics specialists any special instructions, proofs, and shipping info
  4. Contacts clients with questions on specifications and/or questions regarding print job submitted
  5. Ensures all project deadlines are met and associated cost budgets are adhered to
  6. Trains shop staff on proper production procedures and techniques
  7. Ensures that equipment is being properly maintained and upgraded. Recommends new acquisitions that will increases productivity
  8. Manages inventory and organization of supplies
  9. Resolves all customer escalations in a professional manner
  10. Fills in for various departments as needed.
  11. Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. At least 3 โ€“ 5 years experience in a related field
  3. Experience with Grand Large Format Printing
  4. Strong leadership ability to motivate employees
  5. Superior customer service ability and experience in working with customers both over the phone and in person
  6. Ability to communicate effectively with employees when delegating work and explaining procedures and processes
  7. Expert knowledge of equipment and materials
  8. Ability to speak knowledgeably about department capability and company to potential and existing clients
  9. Highly developed organizational ability
  10. Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus
