ABOUT THE POSITION
Primarily responsible for creating electrical drawings and associated documents in support of the Electrical Engineering Department. Works with various departments to determine customer requirements for electrical and control components.
Key Deliverables
• Prepares detailed 3-phase, single-phase and low-voltage DC electrical drawings including
• Creates electrical bills of material, purchased parts lists, cable routing, and operational notes.
• Processes sales orders and work orders.
• Interacts with Engineering, Sales, Service to determine/confirm customer requirements
• Coordinates with Procurement to ensure long lead time items may be identified and addressed
• Assists in determining power requirements, troubleshooting of electrical systems, and aiding in installations and permitting for customers.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
• Assists in determining power requirements, troubleshooting of electrical systems, and aiding in installations and permitting for customers.
• Supports as necessary lending assistance in electrical and controls troubleshooting.
• Supports the work order process by attending sales order meetings to gather/confirm electrical design requirements.
• Collaborative electrical print checking
• Timely and accurate correction/resolution of drawing errors
• Engage in Continuous Improvement projects and activities as assigned.
To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are:
• Associates degree or a minimum of two years of equivalent knowledge/experience in a related field.
• Experience with 3D-CAD and 2D-CAD design software such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPlan.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code and UL requirements.
• Ability to select proper components, size starters, breakers, wiring and conduit.
• Ability to read electrical ladder diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits.
• Knowledge of PLC's/No Programming Required.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and work overtime as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing Environment
Shop manufacturing environment exposures include exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, tools and equipment, vibration, fumes or airborne particles, motorized vehicles, welding and machining operations, outside weather conditions and exposure to the risk of electric shock. The employee may occasionally be required to use protective personal equipment for varying levels of dirt, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, very warm and/or very chilly temperatures. The noise level in the shop can be very loud at times consistent with an industrial assembly facility and may require hearing protection. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
