Title: Project Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Supervisor: Senior Program Manager

Location: Fairfax, VA or USA (remote)

Department: Marketing

Alt Work Eligibility: CWW-Y, Remote – Y

Level: Manager

The starting base pay range for this position is $83,000-$88,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with candidate's experience. This position is eligible for full benefits, as well as the Manager level annual incentive bonus program.


Summary of Position:

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing projects from initiation through completion. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders, members of the creative team, contractors, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with AVIXA brand standards while maintaining clear communication and efficient workflows.


Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential duties of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:


  1. Working with internal stakeholders to complete projects on time, within budget and within scope. Projects include (but not limited to) print collateral, social media/digital graphics and email templates.
  2. Communicate daily, electronically and via phone, with internal stakeholders to ensure transparency on deadlines/deliverables.
  3. Ensure resource availability and allocate resources accordingly.
  4. Work directly with internal and external graphic designers and email specialists.
  5. Delegate project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.
  6. Develop project timelines and set milestones to ensure critical dates are met.
  7. Oversee the lifecycle of three key software platforms—Webdam, Wufoo, and Zapier—coordinating updates, enhancements, integrations, and stakeholder communications to ensure each platform effectively supports business needs.
  8. Work with commercial print vendors on occasion to submit print files, proof print files and ensure timely mailing (when applicable).
  9. Administer the organization's online apparel store through Lands' End, coordinating product offerings, ensuring timely updates and fulfillment, and responding to staff questions.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field strongly preferred

Experience Level:

  • Minimum of 5 years working in a project management role and/or equivalent combination of education and experience


Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Working knowledge of Adobe CS – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Working knowledge of Basecamp, ClickUp, Smartsheet, or similar project management system
  • Working knowledge of Canva

Other skills:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent stakeholder (internal and external) communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and be adaptable to changing priorities
  • Clear understanding of print and digital best practices
