We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Manager to support formulation and R&D projects within a chemist-led environment. This role partners closely with chemists, engineers, quality, regulatory, and operations teams to help track projects efficiently throughout the product commercialization phases. This role will be based on-site in our Ypsilanti, MI office.
What you will do:
  • Support planning and execution of formulation and R&D projects, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities between formulation chemists, engineering, analytical, QA/QC, regulatory, and operations
  • Track project progress, laboratory timelines, and key technical dependencies
  • Maintain project documentation such as development plans, change logs, and technical summaries
  • Schedule and facilitate project meetings; capture action items and follow up on deliverables
  • Identify potential project risks (e.g., formulation challenges, raw material availability, testing delays) and escalate as needed
  • Support sample management, stability testing timelines, and pilot or scale-up coordination
  • Assist with change control, documentation reviews, and communication to stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination or project management, preferably in R&D, formulation, or laboratory settings
