Print Production Specialist
Tommy's is looking for a Print Production Specialist to operate and manage our internal print shop. This role is responsible for producing high-quality printed materials using a Canon imagePRESS v900 digital press and Duplo DC-618 cutter. The ideal candidate ensures jobs are accurate, efficient, and finished to professional standards, serving as the final quality checkpoint before materials are distributed.
This role could be offered as a full-time or part-time opportunity.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain the Canon imagePRESS v900 digital production printer to ensure consistent, high-quality output
  • Set up, run, and finish print jobs using the Duplo DC-618 cutter and related finishing equipment
  • Load and manage paper stocks, monitor consumables, and perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Monitor print quality including color accuracy, alignment, and registration
  • Troubleshoot printing, cutting, and file-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules
  • Review incoming print files for sizing, bleed, resolution, and layout accuracy prior to production
  • Make minor file adjustments as needed prior to printing and clearly communicate file issues or discrepancies
  • Perform basic image editing such as cropping, resizing, and color correction
  • Manage print queues and prioritize production based on deadlines and business needs
  • Conduct final quality checks to ensure finished materials meet established standards before delivery
  • Maintain accurate and organized digital and physical job records
  • Assist with inventory tracking for paper and print supplies
  • During print production downtime, assist with other office related tasks including front desk reception, supply stocking, or assisting with creation/assembly of materials for internal departments
  • Other duties as assigned; duties and responsibilities may change at any time with or without notice.

Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes:
  • Experience operating digital production printers (Canon imagePRESS experience strongly preferred)
  • Previous experience in an in-house print shop or commercial print environment is a plus
  • Familiarity with cutters, trimmers, or finishing equipment (Duplo DC-618 preferred)
  • Understanding of print terminology such as bleed, crop marks, CMYK, DPI, and paper weights (Preferred)
  • Basic proficiency with image editing software such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
  • Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and file-related issues
  • Comfortable working independently in a hands-on production environment
  • Process-oriented and strong collaborator with ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across various departments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize workload
  • Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to exercise good judgment and make sound data-backed decisions
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and operates primarily indoors with limited to no travel expectation.
To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, team member must be able to:
  • Work and commute in all weather conditions

  • Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers

  • Remain in a stationary position 50%+ of the time, alternating between sitting and standing
  • Ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds
  • Drive between company locations and/or vendors or suppliers as needed while on job
