Description:

We are seeking a Print Operator in our large format printing department located in Indianapolis, Indiana. ย The Print Operator will be responsible for the day-to-day print production and maintenance of the printers. ย The position requires a person who is very organized with the ability to prioritize, organize and plan, seeing each job through completion and meeting given deadlines.

Requirements:ย 

  • Read and understand job tickets to ensure production is produced according to specification.ย 
  • Perform quality checks according to established procedures to ensure high quality of production.
  • Monitor printer efficiency and speed to ensure production levels meet or exceed standards and make appropriate adjustments.
  • Must have the ability to maintain organization with multiple projects, prioritize workflow, adhere to timelines and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain printer and inventory supplies as needed
  • Must be prompt, courteous, professional and take pride in working.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies.
  • Responsible for overall safety and cleanliness of equipment.
  • Perform other duties

This position has been designated as safety-sensitive because its duties involve responsibilities where impairment from drugs or alcohol could reasonably result in a significant risk of harm to the employee, coworkers, customers, or the public. Duties may include operating commercial motor vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery, or performing other tasks in which impairment presents an unacceptable safety risk. Employees in this position are subject to pre-employment and other drug/alcohol testing conducted in accordance with applicable federal and state law.

  • Ability to set up and operate various roll to roll printers.
  • Working knowledge of current RIP software, Caldera a plus.
  • A strong attention to detail along with a sharp focus on quality.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
  • Hardworking, assertive, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees
  • Ability to react quickly and make continuous adjustments to provide top quality prints.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of digital printing industry experience a plus.ย  Willing to train.
