Job description

Specialty printing and converting company on LI, NY is searching to hire an experienced Print Production Planner.

Responsibilities include:

  • Write up job tickets, order entry, and job tracking throughout the entire manufacturing process through to shipping.
  • Use company ERP system to input and track jobs.
  • Ensure and order proper materials for jobs.
  • Make sure all necessary information is provided to manufacturing to complete jobs.
  • Act as the liaison among the clients, sales and production departments keeping all parties informed of updates and changes.
  • Support and work closely with top salesman tracking jobs from order entry through to billing.
  • Frequent client interaction.
  • Prepare and execute proper billing statements.


Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' production coordinating, planning or project management experience in commercial sheetfed offset, direct mail and/or digital printing environment.
  • Working knowledge of prepress, offset and digital printing, binding and finishing operations.
  • Must have superb communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Able to multi-task in a busy manufacturing environment.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Working knowledge of computerized Print Management System; such as Monarch, PSI, EFI etc. preferred.
  • Proficient on MSO.
