Premier printing and marketing company in CT is searching to hire an experienced Print Production Planner to join their team

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaison between clients, sales, and manufacturing ensuring every job runs smoothly from estimate to delivery.
  • Schedule and plan jobs to keep production on time meeting client specifications.
  • Compare incoming jobs with estimate specs, flagging deviations and revising as needed.
  • Prepare purchase orders for outside services, paper, ink, and die-cut materials.
  • Review bindery instructions, create prepress worksheets, coordinate proofs with customers, initiate mailings, and track deliveries.
  • Communicate inefficiencies to sales reps or clients proactively.
  • Oversee production of jobs and stay informed of job status keeping all parties up to date.
  • Monitor production of proofs, on-time deliveries to clients and timely return for production use.
  • Work with Estimating to design layouts and production plans for cost-effective results.
  • Make Sales Reps and/or clients aware of production issues and assist in resolution.

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in print production, planning, and/or estimating.
  • Strong technical knowledge of prepress, offset and digital printing, mailing, and binding operations.
  • Working knowledge of ERP system such as EFI Monarch, Hagen, PSI, PACE, etc.
  • Excellent communication and follow through skills.
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task several on-going projects.
  • Individual and team contributor.
  • Proficient on MSO. Experience with Adobe Acrobat a plus.
