Role Overview
The Production Assistant plays a crucial role in our day-to-day manufacturing process. You will be responsible for setting up, printing, finishing, and inspecting high-quality graphics using industry-leading wide-format equipment. This is a hands-on role requiring meticulous attention to detail and a passion for precision.
Key Responsibilities
  • Print & Equipment Operation: Operate, monitor, and perform routine maintenance on wide-format inkjet printers, plotters, and laminators.
  • Graphic Finishing: Perform precise finishing work, including mounting, laminating, trimming, cutting, and grommeting.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect all finished products to ensure they meet SpeedPro's strict quality standards before delivery or installation.
  • Inventory & Order Prep: Package finished jobs securely, update order statuses for customer pickup or delivery, and help log inventory levels for inks, vinyl, and media.
  • Shop Upkeep: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized production line and work area.
  • Team Collaboration: Active participation in team meetings and seamless communication with design, sales, and install teams to keep projects running on schedule.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Required Experience: Hands-on experience operating wide-format printers, laminators, and plotters in a print, sign, or graphics environment.
  • Detail-Oriented & Accountable: Strong eye for color, alignment, and quality control.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and hit tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills; works well in a collaborative team setting.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and handle large media rolls safely.

Bonus Points For:
  • Experience operating CNC routers/Zünd cutters or specialized shop tools.
  • On-site sign or vehicle wrap installation experience.
  • Basic Graphic Design knowledge (Adobe Creative Cloud / prepress preparation).
