Gilliatte General Contractors is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as a full-time Print Production Technician. In this role, you will support the setup and coordination of new construction projects for bidding while working closely with our team to manage job bids, project plans, and construction files throughout the project lifecycle.



Requirements

 As our Print Production Technician, your attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills will be key to your success in this role. 

In this role, you will develop and apply the following skills and responsibilities:

  • Learn and work within platforms such as Sitefolio, ePlanroom, Local Bidding Boards, Build, and related systems used to manage construction project documentation 
  • Naming Files and setup and transfer them to the appropriate software
  • Print project plans and specifications for project managers and subcontractors 
  • Scan and organize drawing sheets to support project management teams 
  • Create Dropbox links and transfer large files efficiently through email and cloud-based systems 
  • Convert files for use in PlanGrid and other document management servers 
  • Upload and maintain revised plans on FTP sites, Hosted FTP, PlanGrid, and Build 
  • Respond to user inquiries regarding software and hardware issues and assist with troubleshooting 
  • Manage and update bid boards, bid sets, specifications, and project revisions within the print and plan room 
  • Maintain and operate wide-format printing equipment; digitize rolled prints and documents
  • Deliver job bids and accurately & record bid numbers at public bid openings
Knowledge & Physical Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills 
  • Proficient computer skills, including downloading, organizing, maintaining, and updating digital files 
  • Experience working with web-based programs and online document management systems 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with owners, project managers, office administrators, and team members at all levels 
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods, including reading monitors and entering data accurately 
  • General knowledge of computer hardware, software, electronic equipment, and related applications 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess user needs and provide effective support 
  • Ability to perform tasks involving both standing and sitting throughout the workday 

A valid driver's license and the ability to pass an MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) check are required.
