Print Collateral information

What is print collateral and what does a print collateral specialist do?

Print collateral refers to the collection of printed materials used by a business or organization to support its marketing and branding efforts. People working in print collateral are responsible for designing, producing, and managing items such as brochures, flyers, business cards, posters, and catalogs. Their role often involves collaborating with graphic designers, printers, and marketing teams to ensure that the materials align with the brand’s image and communication goals. They also oversee the quality, consistency, and distribution of these materials to reach the intended audience effectively.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a print collateral specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Print Collateral Specialist, you need expertise in graphic design, print production processes, and knowledge of branding standards, often supported by a degree in graphic design or a related field. Proficiency in design software like Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with prepress and print management systems are typically required. Strong attention to detail, time management, and effective communication skills set top performers apart in this role. These skills ensure that print materials are visually compelling, brand-consistent, and delivered efficiently to support marketing and communication goals.

What is the difference between Print Collateral vs Graphic Designer?
