Job Description:

GliaCell is seeking a Principal Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full‑time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer. The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission‑related software and systems to a large government contract.

The Work:

  • Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting‑edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Writing java spring boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologies
  • Utilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
  • Building REST services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
  • Implement CI/​CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps
  • Agile development and delivery of software
  • Communication and collaboration: Software Development is a team‑oriented discipline.
  • Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

To be considered for this position you must have the following:

  • Possess an active or rein‑statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • Experience:12+ yrs & Bachelor of Science,or 10+ yrs & Master of Science, 14+ yrs & Associates Degree, or 16+ yrs & High School/GED.
  • Experience working with AWS tool suite such as OSS, DynamoDB, Lambdas, and CloudWatch
  • Works well independently as well as on a team.

Key Skills (3 or more of the below):

  • Java, Spring boot or python
  • Database : NoSQL / MongoDB / DynamoDB Query and Schema Design
  • Test frameworks and automation to include Cyprus and Cucumber
