Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for supporting quality assurance across Zoot's software, internal systems, client implementations, and product offerings. This role develops and executes comprehensive test plans and test scripts to validate functional, business, and technical requirements across Zoot's core software tools, client solutions, and services. Working throughout the development, testing, implementation, and release lifecycle, the Quality Assurance Analyst identifies and documents defects, collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, adheres to Zoot's quality assurance and testing processes, and helps ensure the successful delivery of high-quality solutions to clients. This is a fast-paced, ever-changing position that requires flexibility, self-initiative, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage changing priorities.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Comprehend and adhere to Zoot's testing and quality assurance processes.
  • Understand Zoot Capabilities and supported platform types in order to support the project team, Service Operations team, and the client.
  • Partner with other departments to ensure high quality and timely releases.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to review and understand requirement specifications.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases that tie back to requirements specifications.
  • Prioritize, plan, and execute testing activities.
  • Identify, document, and track defects thoroughly.
  • Work with clients during their user acceptance testing efforts.
  • Support platforms continuously through production.
  • Analyze and strive to improve Zoot's QA process. Propose recommendations for changes or additions to processes to Group Manager when applicable.
  • Know and comply with Zoot's Policies and Procedures, Code of Business Conduct, and Employee Agreement.
  • Achieve a service-focused culture with emphasis on delivering on time high quality solutions to internal and external customers.
Education, Training, and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Finance, or related field required.
  • Previous experience and knowledge in developing and maintaining Quality Assurance policies required.
  • Previous experience in Quality Assurance roles in software development or other related industries preferred.
  • Previous experience utilizing JIRA preferred.
  • Or an equal combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements:
All positions at Zoot require the ability to move about inside an office environment which includes the operation of computers and other office productivity machinery and frequently communicates with other employees, clients, vendors, and visitors. This position specifically requires long periods of sitting at a computer workstation.

This position will take place primarily in an office setting. To optimize team performance, the workspace for this position is typically a cubicle setting in an open space environment. It is expected that exempt employees, and specifically this position, regularly and consistently report to work on-site, at Zoot headquarters, during normal business hours. Occasional nighttime and weekend work is required within the position. This position may occasionally require travel. The Quality Assurance Analyst position is fast paced and ever changing, requiring flexibility, self-initiative, and regular management of changing priorities.
