IMMEDIATE OPENING FULL TIME POSITION

PRINCIPAL PULSED POWER ENGINEER


Diversified Technologies, Inc. (DTI) is an international leader in the design and manufacture of high-power electrical equipment. Our exceptional engineers and scientists collaborate to develop the worlds most powerful radar transmitters, pulsed power units for state-of-the-art processing in food, energy and wastewater, and advanced R&D for national laboratories.

DTI seeks a Principal Pulsed Power Engineer for various projects to join its fast-growing, hightechnology business. DTIs work involves the design, construction, installation and testing of specialized, high-power electrical equipment for industrial and government applications. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to work in a challenging, innovative, fast-paced technical organization based in Bedford, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and apply advanced pulsed power practices, techniques, and experience to engineering assignments that require a high degree of technical competence and a thorough working knowledge of DTI-specific approaches and standards.
  • Assess new customer requirements for achievability, develop practical technical solutions, and develop plans and proposals for implementing those solutions.
  • Routinely and capably work with little or no supervision.
  • Dependably and capably apply engineering principles to plan and technically direct the design, fabrication, testing, and production of pulsed power components and systems, including pulse modulators, switches, and transmitters.
  • Reliably anticipate problems that may be encountered by those knowledgeable in other technical disciplines.
  • Lead complex analyses and testing in relation to new designs, methods, materials, orprocesses.
  • Provide concrete recommendations as appropriate; skillfully critique the efforts of other senior staff.
  • Routinely review and improve drawings, etc. prepared by technical support personnel.
  • Assist in training other engineers at all levels in specific tasks.
  • Perform other tasks as instructed or self-identified.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree, Masters / PhD with specialization in Pulsed Power preferred
  • Ten or more years direct experience in Pulsed Power system design, fabrication, test and/or operation
  • Demonstration of practical achievements and technical expertise through patents, publications, and system experience
  • U.S. Citizen


Compensation:

  • Salary range $160,000 $200,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
