As a Software Engineer Principal (JAVA/Spring Boot) within PNC's Retail Tech Core Debit Product organization, you will be based in Dallas TX, Pittsburgh PA or Strongsville OH.
The Software Engineer Principal (JAVA/Spring Boot) will provide technical leadership and architectural direction across critical software initiatives. In this role, you will design scalable systems, mentor engineering teams, and drive best practices that align technology solutions with business strategy. This position requires deep technical expertise, strong influence without authority, and a proven ability to solve complex, cross domain problems.
Requirements:
Proven experience designing and implementing large scale, distributed
systems.
Expertise in one or more core programming languages such as Java, C#,
Python, or Go.
Strong knowledge of system architecture, APIs, databases, and data
modeling.
Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Deep understanding of software development lifecycle and modern
