After many wonderful years together, their longtime housekeeper recently retired, and the family is excited to welcome the right person into their home.

The ideal candidate is professional, patient, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoys supporting a busy family household.


POSITION OVERVIEW

This is a full-charge housekeeper role responsible for the comprehensive care, organization, and presentation of an 8,000 sq. ft. luxury residence. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and able to take ownership of the home’s daily flow and long-term upkeep while adapting to the family’s established preferences and routines.

THE HOME
  • 8,000 sq. ft. UHNW private residence
  • Three levels
  • Located near the Governor’s Mansion in Atlanta
  • Family of 5 (two children transitioning to boarding school in the fall)
  • Two sweet Maltipoo dogs
  • Light entertaining with flowers and well-presented living spaces throughout

This is an active family home best suited for someone who enjoys being immersed in the daily rhythm of a busy household and takes pride in maintaining structure, organization, and consistency at a high level.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Full-Charge Housekeeping
  • Detailed cleaning and daily maintenance of the home

  • Deep seasonal cleaning plan (quarterly rotations by level/area)

  • Care and polishing of fine silver, crystal, and specialty metals

  • Inspection and maintenance of marble, stone, and specialty surfaces

  • Appliance deep-clean schedules
  • Care of fine finishes, luxury materials, and high-end furnishings

  • Rotation of décor and household items

  • Creating and maintaining inventory lists

  • Developing and updating a house manual and organized systems


Wardrobe Management
  • Understanding of garment care for designer clothing

  • Rotating seasonal wardrobes

  • Care of luxury handbags (including washing dust bags)

  • Organized maintenance of a designer shoe collection

  • Knowledge of fine linens and specialty fabrics


Laundry & Linen Care
  • High-volume family laundry, including household linens and daily clothing care
  • Expert laundering, ironing, steaming, and proper garment care
  • Care and storage of fine linens and specialty textiles


Household Operations
  • Following and refining established household routines and schedules
  • Maintaining organized storage systems throughout the home
  • Ensuring the home is guest-ready at all times
  • Supporting light entertaining preparation as needed
  • Proactively communicating priorities and asking clarifying questions when needed to ensure smooth household flow
  • Working comfortably in an active family environment alongside children and pets

SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
  • Monday–Friday | 8:00am–4:00pm

  • Live-out position (candidate must have own transportation)

  • $40–$50/hour DOE

  • 2 weeks PTO

  • $300/month medical stipend


IDEAL CANDIDATE
  • 5+ years of experience in similar private home roles
  • Prior experience independently managing a 7,000+ sq. ft. residence preferred
  • Experience working in large homes as a solo housekeeper would be beneficial
  • UHNW/private home experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient English communication skills
