This position has been created as part of a targeted university recruiting initiative for Purdue University and Indiana University students and recent graduates pursuing early-career opportunities in Finance or Accounting.

Join our Team as a Business Intelligence Analyst!

The Role:

Business Intelligence Analysts play a crucial role in contributing to the executive team at Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA). They are adept at financial valuation, interpreting financial statements, manipulating data, and accounting principles. Analysts on this team play a leadership role by actively driving projects and fostering relationships within the organization.

This position is dynamic with rotating projects, meaning that each Analyst has a unique set of responsibilities that changes over time. In this way, Analysts gain exposure to various facets of the business and continue their development as future leaders within the organization. Travel may be required, with a heightened focus on leadership responsibilities and collaboration between different departments.

What You'll Be Doing:

Financial Analysis

  • Develop advanced financial models for executive decision-making
  • Lead financial planning efforts for budgeting purposes.
  • Assist leadership with financial analysis of on-going and future projects or programs
  • Leverage advanced data visualization techniques and automate reporting processes

Accounting

  • Oversee monthly operational consolidation of TMHNA and its subsidiaries
  • Perform variance analysis on consolidated financial results
  • Present monthly results directly to executives, including parent company in Japan
  • Coordinate and prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts for North American consolidated entities

Data Analysis

  • Skilled in data analysis and reporting
  • Utilize advanced features of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) for insightful reporting

Project Management

  • Actively drives project timelines and success, showcasing leadership capabilities
  • Manage multiple projects for multiple departments that have an impact across TICO owned entities
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills in a deadline-driven environment

Communication / Coordination

  • Engage effectively with executives at the highest levels of the organization
  • Coordinate seamlessly with various entities within TOYOTA Industries Corporation (TICO)

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration within the team and with executives
  • Ability to work with large data sets and utilize advanced features of data visualization tools, such as PowerBI and/or Tableau
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is eager to learn and is excited about being part of a winning team

  • Enjoy the best of both worlds with a hybrid schedule-collaborate in person Monday through Wednesday at our Columbus, IN office and work remotely Thursday/Friday.

What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Salary-$65,440 - $83,895per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
