Description
TeamHealth is seeking a critical care physician to join the ICU team at Baptist Health Princeton Hospital. This role focuses on providing expert care for critically ill adult patients, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to manage complex cases in the intensive care setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the ICU, including daily patient assessment, management of life-support technologies, ventilator management, hemodynamic support and critical care procedures
  • Collaborate with specialists, hospitalists, nursing, respiratory therapy and ancillary services to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, clinical decision-making, and family communication
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, patient safety efforts and institutional protocols within the ICU
  • Participate in scheduled coverage, including nights or weekend call as defined by the department schedule

Qualifications
  • Board certified/board eligible in critical care medicine, internal medicine (IM), or family medicine (FM)
  • Alabama medical license or eligibility
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
