Job description

Job Overview:
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Subcontractor Pre-Qualification
  • Identify and screen potential subcontractors based on project scope, risk requirements, safety record, financial stability, and past performance.
  • Maintain and update the approved subcontractor database.
  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all documentation is complete and current.

• RFP Development & Issuance
  • Draft and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs) aligned with project requirements and timelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering, estimating, and operations teams to define scope and evaluation criteria.

• Bid Review & Leveling
  • Collect and analyze bid submissions for completeness, competitiveness, and compliance.
  • Perform bid leveling to ensure accurate comparison across vendors.
  • Facilitate clarification meetings and support negotiation efforts.

• Qualification & Risk Assessment
  • Conduct risk assessments including financial, operational, and contractual exposure.
  • Recommend qualified subcontractors based on technical capability, cost, and risk profile.
  • Document sourcing decisions and maintain audit-ready records.

• Handover to Operations
  • Prepare subcontractor award packages and coordinate handoff to the operations team.
  • Ensure all contract terms, scope, and deliverables are clearly communicated and documented.
  • Support post-award onboarding and kickoff activities as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in solar, power generation, or construction.
  • At least 2 years of experience negotiating and managing subcontractor contracts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with Viewpoint is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of procurement procedures, risk management, and contract law.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel (5-10%) as required.

Targeted Salary Range - $80,000 - $95,000
