POSITION TITLE
Product Manager, Encapsys
POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is expected to drive business results and achieve growth objectives through program expansion in current Fragrance, Phase Change and Carbonless market segments. The Global Product Manager is expected to work closely with the Director and other members of the business unit leadership team to achieve strategic goals of the segment. The Global Product Manager will participate in developing and executing the business objectives and plans for the growth of the company.
The incumbent must have the strategic capability and experience to lead successful programs and projects with customers through collaboration with all functions. They should be skilled at connecting technologies and capabilities with market needs, as well as building business cases and execution plans that deliver growth.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead relationship-building with customers (especially decision makers and top-to-top relationships) and develop new methods for driving target markets. Develop and leverage trust-building and personal relationships with customers.
  • Ensure development of technology, marketing, and sales plans that are professional, disciplined and leverage technical superiority, data-based pricing strategies and other methods to gain dominant market share.
  • Support the development of customer agreements (i.e. confidentiality, development, supply, quality, etc.), pricing, and relationships service as a key contact and relationship owner.
  • Support development and execution of the Fragrance strategic plan.
  • Lead assigned portions of the Fragrance Strategy Deployment effort.
  • Manage project communications, including meetings, conference calls, weekly reports and presentations.
  • Quarterly updates to price lists with attention to detail
  • Liaise with Price Owners to support quarterly price updates.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Product Line Managers to maintain global forecasts throughout the year.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service and Supply Chain on order status and facilitation.
  • Work with Technical/Development teams on TSRs, development items, and related activities.
  • Partner with Legal to facilitate Supply Agreements, NDAs, and other contractual documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED
  • Technical degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience and sales experience
  • A high energy leader, with experience working with global, cross functional teams is preferred and a great sense of ownership: 'it's my business' mentality
  • External bias, with experience interviewing customers and other experts in market place to uncover key insights required to develop sound marketing strategies and data
  • Ability to function in a hybrid role combining market strategy work with field validation (business development)
  • Know how to be strategic with value proposition positioning and drive to meet financial targets
