Client in Missoula, MT, is seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention Program Manager to lead the planning, implementation, and oversight of our infection prevention and control program. This pivotal role helps ensure a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors by identifying risks, analyzing trends, and driving compliance with infection control standards.
Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and maintain infection prevention policies and procedures.
Conduct surveillance of hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) and provide timely reporting and analysis to clinical and administrative stakeholders.
Analyze infection data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for system improvement.
Educate healthcare personnel on infection prevention protocols, proper use of PPE, and standard precautions.
Lead investigations and interventions during outbreaks of infectious disease.
Ensure organizational compliance with CDC, OSHA, CMS, Joint Commission, and state and local health regulations.
Participate in infection control risk assessments and audits across departments.
Maintain current knowledge of emerging infectious diseases and updated best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related healthcare field.
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required or must be obtained within 2 years of hire.
Minimum 2 years of infection prevention and control experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of infection prevention principles and healthcare regulations.
