 Pressure Vessel Engineer (PE)
Kennerdell, PA

Seeking an experienced Pressure Vessel Engineer to
join our engineering team. This hands-on position is responsible for the design, drafting, and
engineering calculations of pressure vessels and aboveground storage tanks in accordance with
ASME, API, AWWA, and NFPA codes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical
expertise, practical understanding of fabrication, and a commitment to engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform and review detailed engineering calculations for pressure vessels and
aboveground storage tanks.
• Develop design drawings, 3D models, and fabrication packages using AutoCAD and
Inventor.
• Prepare and review fabrication and assembly procedures to ensure compliance with
applicable codes and customer specifications.
• Serve as a technical resource to engineers, drafters, and fabrication teams—providing
guidance, mentoring, and problem-solving support.
• Interface with clients, inspectors, and vendors to ensure technical accuracy and code
compliance.
• Support fabrication and field crews with design clarifications and troubleshooting.
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and best practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (required).
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in pressure vessel and/or aboveground storage tank
design.
• Strong working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API 650/653/620, AWWA D100, and
NFPA standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Inventor, and MathCAD (or equivalent engineering software).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Attributes:
• Experience with 3D CAD workflows, TechnoSoft and parametric design tools.
• Familiarity with fabrication processes, materials, and shop operations.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to producing accurate, code-compliant designs.
