Summary:

Oliver Inc. is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Pressman to operate an 8-color Komori sheet-fed press, ensuring high-quality printing and adherence to customer specifications. This role requires strong technical expertise in color control systems, UV curing, and print quality standards, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

About the Role:

As our Pressman, you will:

  • Ability to accurately operate 8 Color Double Coater HUV Komori Sheet -fed press with aqueous or UV coating unit or units with precision and skill
  • A good understanding of E.C/U.V. curing systems and how to maintain them
  • Knowledgeable of modern Color Control Systems (CCS).
  • Be able to interpret, trapping, gray balance and dot gain data for use in running and maintain in Solid Ink Density (SID)
  • Run the job per job ticket specifications and customer's requirements
  • Seeks assistance when needed to clarify unclear tasks and responsibilities
  • Assists in production of each job to measure to highest quality standards
  • Maintains safe, clean, work environment
  • Adheres to the company and department's standard operating procedures and policies
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards

  • Interpersonal skills, self-initiative to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong quality control skills
  • Minimum of five years' experience in the printing industry / pressroom is necessary
  • Tenacious attention to detail with advanced organizational skills
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with changing demands and competing priorities
  • Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs., constant use of hands and arms, ability to stand on feet all day long and frequent walking, kneeling and reaching
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. during maintenance schedule (roller maintenance)
