Job description

Trumpf Press Brake CNC Programmer-OperatorA day in this role

You start your shift at a Trumpf press brake, loading the correct tooling and dialing in your first bend sequence. You review the blueprint and 3D model, set offsets, and program the part using the Trumpf interface. You run a first article, verify it with calipers, micrometers, and a protractor, then refine bend allowances to hit spec. Once everything checks out, you move efficiently into production—maintaining accuracy throughout.

Core responsibilities
  • Set up, program, and operate Trumpf CNC press brake equipment to produce precision sheet metal parts.
  • Work confidently within Trumpf control environments and software interfaces.
  • Select, install, and align the proper Trumpf tooling for each bend sequence and part requirement.
  • Interpret blueprints, 3D models, and technical drawings to determine bend order and tolerances.
  • Perform first-article inspections and verify dimensions using precision calipers, micrometers, and protractors.
What you bring
  • Experience: Minimum two to three years operating CNC press brakes; direct experience on Trumpf machines is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong blueprint reading with the ability to calculate and adjust bend allowances.
  • Technical: Familiarity with Trumpf control panels; experience with Touchpoint, BendMaster, or Boost software is a significant advantage.
  • Physical: Able to safely handle sheet metal and stand for the duration of the shift.
