You bring deep banking knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to operate with both strategic insight and hands-on execution. About the Role

The VP, Banking Manager leads the Private Banking team and ensures the Profit Center meets revenue goals through deposit growth, client service excellence, and sales support. You will manage staffing, coaching, onboarding, and performance while serving as an escalation point for complex client matters. This role partners closely with commercial, treasury management, and private banking teams to support new business development and strengthen client relationships. You will also oversee administrative responsibilities, compliance adherence, and office operations to ensure efficient and effective performance.

 

What You'll Do

  • Lead and mentor the Private Banking team, ensuring strong performance, development, and client service.
  • Manage onboarding, staffing, recruiting, coaching, and retention of team members.
  • Drive deposit growth through effective pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM discipline.
  • Lead relationships for high-level, complex client opportunities while enhancing client engagement.
  • Act as an escalation point for commercial and treasury management issues.
  • Support deposit business development through prospect calls and presentations.
  • Assist with treasury management product implementation and support ongoing operations.
  • Coordinate annual reviews for commercial clients and ensure adherence to pricing, risk, and compliance.
  • Partner with the Market President on office operations, approvals, reporting, and risk management.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of bank products, wealth planning, investments, and trust services.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred (experience may substitute).
  • 7-10 years of client-facing banking experience required.
  • 1-3 years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Expertise in teller functions, client services, deposit accounts, treasury management, and banking regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients.
  • Knowledge of tax laws, banking regulations, and company policies.
  • Notary commission required within 90 days of hire.
