Job description

About Vercel:
Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company. We free people and agents to ship what's next.
For more than a decade, Vercel has shaped how the web is built. As the team behind Next.js, v0, and AI SDK, we create products that help builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience.
Now, software is entering a new era, and the next generation of products will not just be used by people. They will be built, extended, and operated by agents.
We are building the platform for that future, trusted by companies like OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide. Whether you're building our products, supporting our customers, growing our community, or shaping our story, you'll help define what comes next.
About the Role:
Vercel is seeking a Presentation Designer to own presentation design end to end and help make every deck, from an intimate strategy meeting to a high-profile main-stage keynote, a sharp and compelling reflection of our brand and story.
Presentations are one of the highest-leverage surfaces at Vercel. They are where executives communicate strategy, where product teams tell their stories, and where the company shows up in front of customers, partners, and the press. This role will own the full lifecycle of presentation design, from initial concept through storytelling, visual design, presentation systems, and final delivery across PowerPoint, Figma, Keynote, and Google Slides.
Beyond designing individual presentations, this person will help build the systems, templates, components, guidelines, and workflows that allow presentation design to scale across Vercel. They may also partner with our Design Engineering team to explore and build internal tools that make it easier for teams to create high-quality, on-brand decks efficiently.
You'll work closely with our Creative/Brand, Executive, Product Marketing, Communications, Events, and Design Engineering teams to turn complex technical concepts into visual narratives that resonate with any audience and raise the bar for presentation design across the company.
This role is ideal for a designer who thinks about narrative and hierarchy as much as pixels, can balance high-touch creative work with scalable systems thinking, and knows how to build trust while working directly with senior executives under tight timelines. You'll report to the Director of Creative Design within our Creative/Brand team and will be based in San Francisco or New York City.
What You Will Do:
  • Own presentation design strategy and execution end to end, leading projects from initial concept through final delivery while staying aligned with objectives, timelines, and brand guidelines.
  • Design visually compelling presentations that combine storytelling, information design, and data visualization to communicate key messages clearly and memorably.
  • Build and maintain a cohesive presentation design system, including templates, components, layouts, motion principles, documentation, and usage guidelines.
  • Develop scalable, branded presentation frameworks across Google Slides, PowerPoint, Figma, and Keynote so teams can move quickly without sacrificing quality or consistency.
  • Partner with Design Engineering to explore, prototype, and potentially build internal tools that improve how presentations are created, maintained, and scaled across the company.
  • Establish workflows and governance for presentation assets, making it easy to distribute updates, maintain consistency, and evolve the system alongside the Vercel brand.
  • Identify repetitive presentation-design tasks and create systems, automation, or tooling that reduce manual work and improve quality at scale.
  • Build and maintain a consistent visual identity across all presentation materials, ensuring every deck reflects Vercel's brand.
  • Partner directly with executives and speakers to tailor narratives and visuals to their individual voice, style, audience, and presentation needs.
  • Integrate multimedia, including animation, video, and interactive elements, to maximize audience engagement during high-stakes moments.
  • Translate complex technical ideas into clear, engaging visuals, researching topics deeply enough to identify the simplest and most compelling way to explain them.
  • Iterate quickly on feedback from executives and cross-functional partners, delivering polished, presentation-ready materials under deadline pressure.
  • Support Vercel's highest-visibility moments, including product launches, corporate events, customer presentations, and executive keynotes, with design that performs on the main stage.

About You:
  • 4+ years of experience in visual communication, presentation design, brand design, or multimedia design.
  • Expert proficiency in Google Slides, Keynote, PowerPoint, and Figma Slides.
  • Strong understanding of presentation systems, including templates, reusable components, master layouts, documentation, and asset governance.
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable, on-brand self-service templates for use by teams with different levels of design expertise.
  • A systems-oriented mindset and an interest in improving creative workflows through tooling, automation, and close collaboration with engineers.
  • Experience partnering with design engineers or developers to prototype or build internal creative tools is highly valued.
  • Experience incorporating multimedia elements such as audio, video, animation, and interactive content.
  • Experience developing visual narratives for B2B SaaS, developer tools, technical products, or services.
  • Ability to research and precisely translate complex information into clear and compelling visual narratives.
  • Adept at customizing presentations to align with different speakers, audiences, formats, and themes.
  • Proven track record of designing high-impact presentations for main-stage corporate events as well as smaller executive, strategic, and customer-facing meetings.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with C-suite executives and senior leaders on presentation projects.
  • Portfolio demonstrating a range of presentation work across different formats, themes, audiences, and levels of visibility.
  • Evidence of strong project management from initial concept through final delivery.
  • Track record of maintaining brand integrity across a broad presentation ecosystem.

Bonus If You:
  • You have motion design or motion graphics skills.
  • You have experience building plugins, prototypes, automation, or internal creative tools.
  • You understand front-end development or have experience collaborating closely with Design Engineering teams.
  • You are comfortable flexing into smaller brand and visual-design projects when time allows.

Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package, including equity.
  • Inclusive Healthcare Package.
  • Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills.
  • Flexible Time Off.
  • We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed.

The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $152,000 - $209,000. Actual salary will be based on job-related skills, experience, and location. Compensation outside of San Francisco may be adjusted based on employee location. The total compensation package may include benefits, equity-based compensation, and eligibility for a company bonus or variable pay program depending on the role. Your recruiter can share more details during the hiring process.
