Job Description Summary

Lead a remote team of presentation designers, directing daily workflows and ensuring design standards are met. Mentors team, manages performance, and contributes to process improvement initiatives. Serves as the primary liaison between requesters and the design team during the assigned shift, applying expert knowledge of presentation design workflows to assess requests, manage expectations, negotiate priorities, and ensure successful project execution. The role demands exceptional leadership, effective management of high-volume workloads and competing priorities, and strong communication abilities.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage the shift workflow and daily operations of the presentation design team.
  • Triage, prioritize, assign incoming projects, negotiate deadlines, and clarify requirements with clients.
  • Monitor team workload, capacity, performance, and adjust assignments and assist during periods of high-volume.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, mentorship, training, and support career development of designers.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of documents to ensure all deliverables meet specifications and brand guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records in relevant systems.
  • Partner with leadership on recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and performance management for direct reports.
  • Collaborate with leadership on process improvements, skills gap analysis, and training plans.
  • Serve as the face of the team to clients during shift, handling inquiries and escalations.
  • Prepare shift turnover reports and participate in regular leadership meetings.
  • Leverage expertise in presentation design and production workflows to assess requests, translate business needs into design solutions, manage expectations, negotiate priorities, and guide designers toward successful outcomes.


Skills and Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in presentation, graphic design, or marketing.
  • 3-5 years of proven leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, marketing/financial services industry standards.
  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, and proficiency in relevant software.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and realign priorities in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in quality control, process management, effective job trafficking, and team development.
  • Embraces AI technologies and demonstrates a continuous interest in applying new learnings to drive transformation, improve workflows, and identify operational efficiencies.
  • Maintains expert-level understanding of presentation design workflows, deliverables, and best practices to effectively communicate with requesters, evaluate project scope, and provide informed direction to the team.
