At Precious Cargo Preschool & Childcare, we're looking for a passionate Lead Preschool Teacher to create meaningful learning experiences, build strong relationships with families, and help children develop the skills they need to thrive.

What You'll Do
  • Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons using Creative Curriculum.
  • Create a nurturing, inclusive classroom that supports every child's unique needs.
  • Conduct observations and assessments using Teaching Strategies GOLD (TSGold).
  • Maintain accurate documentation, portfolios, and developmental records.
  • Foster positive behavior and social-emotional growth through relationship-based teaching.
  • Partner with families through ongoing communication, conferences, and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with coaches, specialists, and team members to support student success.
  • Ensure compliance with Preschool Promise, licensing regulations, and program requirements.
  • Participate in professional development, coaching, and continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications
Required:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Oregon Registry Step 8 or higher.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Food Handler's Card.
  • Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
Preferred:

  • Experience with Creative Curriculum and TSGold.
  • Two or more years of experience in an early childhood setting.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
