Job Summary:
The Production Graphic Designer is responsible for creating all art, preparing files for production and working with customers for art approval.
The Production Graphic Designer reports directly to the Quality Manager.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create customer requested art for orders.
  • Maintain and manage multiple customer art files.
  • Communicate with customers and team members during creation, revision, and approval process.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy in the artwork created and approved.
  • Understand and implement prepress requirements.
  • Communicate with vendors in the purchasing of plates.
  • Handle receiving and inspection of plates from vendors.
  • Communicate any need for supplies or items that would make graphic design more efficient or improve quality to the Quality Manager.
  • Work with staff as a team, and with respect.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage time.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • A minimum of four weeks in-office training covering Advantage Label purchasing software and various email and art programs.
  • Training on each of the following procedures: Pr-4.0-02, Pr-7.2-01, Pr-7.4-01, Pr-7.4-02, Pr-8.2-01, Pr-8.5-01.

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and/or
  • 3+ years' experience with computer graphic programs and Graphic Design creation in practical application.
