Job Description:

The technician is responsible for preparing artwork for flexographic, lithographic and digital printing environments. The technician will have a strong technical background in prepress and Adobe Creative Suite software, with an emphasis on Adobe Illustrator (GMG & PACKS is a plus), as well as knowledge in Mac and Windows operating systems. The ideal candidate has experience in the corrugated packaging industry. They will also have experience working with customers and sales representatives to achieve the client's creative look while creating a production friendly file.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Present ideas and designs to sales reps and customers.

Work with 3D software to achieve client's packaging goals.

Adept at converting artwork to print for flexographic, lithographic and digital presses.

Collaborates with in-house structural design and press professionals to accomplish the desired end product.

Produce Prototypes and high-quality digital color proofs.

Follow press guidelines for proper color separation and trapping requirements.

Attend press checks to ensure the quality and color accuracy of printed pieces.

Check-in printing plates and label proofs as they come in from vendors.

Maintains cutting edge technical knowledge.

Maintain imaging and prepress workflow procedures.

Perform duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years or more experience in a prepress environment.

Experienced in package design and flexographic printing.

Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop expert

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Solution-driven with the ability to work through problems, follow-up in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously with a positive, respectful and enthusiastic manner.

Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities and interruptions.

Active team player who can work with little supervision.

Meet deadlines with accurate and consistent results.

Strong organizational skill.
