Job description

#1 Operator in Prepress - 2nd shift
The Lead Press/Prepress Operator is responsible for the performance of the production line. In this role you will provide leadership, work direction, and train/develop the skills of the crew to consistently optimize overall performance.
Hours of Work - Eagan, Minnesota

  • 2nd shift - 2:30p - 10:30p

  • Occasional overtime up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts


About the Role:
In this opportunity as a #1 Operator in Prepress, you will:

  • Ensure that the line is running smoothly and producing a quality product for our customers.

  • Lead Operators are expected to facilitate Tier 1 meetings and Gemba Walk discussions to drive communication and improvements to the processes associated with the equipment.

  • The role also requires training for crew members who are temps or are coming in from another area to support workload.

  • Work results are not typically checked by others


About You:
You're a fit for the role of #1 Operator in Prepress if you have the following required qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher. Candidates with a vocational/technical degree are strongly preferred

  • Ability to read, interpret and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders

  • Experience with Lean and continuous improvement

  • Good communication skills including experience sharing information across shifts and departments

  • Proven success as a trainer

  • Competence with rulers and measurement

  • Can regularly lift at least 5 lbs. above the shoulder as well as push, pull, and lift at least 10 lbs occasionally up to 50 lbs

  • Regularly standing walking, crouching, bending, reaching, and kneeling

For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation hourly range for this role is $23 USD - $43 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
