Job description

Job Summary

Support the Press Operator in running printing press equipment to produce highquality bags safely, efficiently, and on time. Assist with setup, monitoring, quality checks, and basic troubleshooting while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with press setup, operation, and monitoring during production runs
  • Verify correct paper, ink, and materials per job specifications
  • Monitor print and bag quality; pull samples and complete quality checks
  • Make minor press adjustments to maintain quality and productivity
  • Install and remove cylinders; set impressions and adjust slitters as needed
  • Read and interpret production orders and complete required documentation
  • Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and SQF food safety procedures
  • Assist with troubleshooting, basic repairs, and general housekeeping
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to read work orders and follow written and verbal instruction

Schedule Demands:

  • Work schedules are normally 8 or 12 hours
  • May be scheduled for rotating days off
  • Ability to work any day, including weekends
  • Able to work any shift, including overnight shifts
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed, including extra hours on short notice
