Pacific Southwest Container, LLC is a world-class, ISO 9001 manufacturer of custom packaging. We are a market leader in the design and conversion of corrugated, folding carton, single-face lamination, foam protective packaging and point-of-purchase displays. Our facilities in Modesto and Visalia serve a wide variety of end use customers who value creativity, flexibility, speed to market and best total system cost.

We are searching for an energetic, driven, and motivated Sales Executive to help PSC attain company growth and revenue objective through the acquisition of new customers. In this role, you will work alongside departments such as Project Management, Design, Estimating and Prepress to deliver innovative, high quality packaging to customers while maintaining world-class service.

Heavy emphasis on prospecting, developing new territory, and relationship development.

NOTE: 6 months training required in Modesto, CA. Relocation required to one of these target areas after completion of training: Los Angeles or the Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive new territory and prospecting strategy to generate new business.
  • Engage with prospective customers to create a customized solution for their business objectives.
  • Build and nurture long-term customer relationships throughout the customers’ organization.
  • Work alongside supporting departments (Project Management, Design, Estimating, Prepress) to effectively and efficiently communicate prospect and customer project goals.
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new business through identification of new business opportunities.
  • Consistently identify and execute upon margin improvement opportunities for existing business.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership on the pricing of new business opportunities to ensure profitability.
  • Effectively handle complex negotiations throughout varying levels within a customer’s organization.
  • Maintain CRM data that is used by Senior Leadership to make forward-looking decisions about the business.
  • Develop and achieve aggressive sales budget numbers, exceeding sales goals.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relevant outside sales experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Excellent negotiation abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal Team Members and external prospects/customers.
  • Mastery of sales related administrative duties.
  • Strong level of business acumen.
  • Highly proficient and proven ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations to audiences of varying seniority to gain customer commitment.
  • Proven capability to act in a focused, decisive, and committed manner to achieve results on deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams to execute upon unique and complex projects.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
