2nd shift (2:00pm-10:00pm)   ($1.50/hr premium)

3rd shift (10:00pm-6:00am)     ($1.00/hr premium)

General Summary: This position is responsible to perform a variety of mechanical and basic electrical maintenance and repair work on plant equipment including: Disamatic molding machines, shot blast machines, furnaces, pumps, fans, gear boxes, shafts, belts, water and air lines, valves, motors, electrical panels, generators, etc.

Essential Functions:

  • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair foundry related systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  • Ensure all work areas remain clean and free of safety hazards
  • Performs preventive maintenance in accordance with required program.
  • Operates a variety of standard hand tools and power tools (drills, lathes, grinders, saws, etc.) and other related equipment (welding) to make necessary repairs.
  • Install machinery and electrical systems to support a variety of foundry related equipment.
  • Read and understand schematics, blueprints, manuals, etc. to perform required work.
  • Required to inspect the premises regularly, conduct routine maintenance, perform repairs when necessary.
  • Document and maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs
  • Comply with all safety and PPE requirements as identified in plant protocols.
  • May be assigned other duties as needed.    

Experience Required

  • Minimum of three (3) years Industrial Maintenance experience required.
  • Prior knowledge of green sand foundry practices, principles and equipment preferred.

Education  & Skills Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Industrial Maintenance courses/journeyman preferred.

Tools: Employee must supply own common tools.  Specific tools will be supplied the Company.
