Job description

ROUTE DRIVER JOB DESCRIPTION

For 62 years Fox Vending has been one of the premier vending companies in the Chicagoland area. We offer full line vending and coffee service to customers in Chicago, the surrounding suburbs and Northwest Indiana. We are currently looking for a team member to fill a route driver position. A route driver is responsible for implementing and maintaining our merchandising standards in all accounts on a scheduled route. You will also be responsible for ensuring that a proper level of stock is maintained and that the merchandise is displayed appropriately with proper signage. You will be responsible for inputting all data into a handheld that will be provided to you. In addition, you will be expected to establish and maintain a friendly and professional relationship with your customers.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Excellent communication/people skills

  • Upbeat and outgoing personality

  • Works well independently/can work without direct supervision

  • Proficient in navigating in a designated territory

  • Organizational skills

  • Current drivers license with clean driving record

  • Pass a background check and drug screen

  • Must be at least 21 years old

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. repetitiously

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position requires constant handling of merchandise. You must be prepared to travel, drive, and engage in a considerable amount of physical activity. One must be willing and able to lift and move product all day in this job. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Valid and clean drivers license required.

Clean background check & drug test required

SALARY INFORMATION

Starting salary is $18.00/hour while training*

After Training, Salary will adjust to Base + Commission

*Experience will be considered for starting pay rate
