About the Role

We are currently searching for an Account Manager to assist in managing and promoting the corporate vision, mission statement and core values. Account Managers will execute sales strategy, initiate contact with existing and potential customers, identify their needs and sell appropriate products. Account Managers will consult with customers as Packaging Specialists. They will deliver new ideas, new programs with innovative, quality products to meet our customersโ€™ needs at a fair and profitable price.

Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess direct sales experience in the West Michigan area of Kent, Kalamazoo, and surrounding counties. Corrugated knowledge is preferred. However, an industrial sales background in logistics, distribution, Jan/San, and safety will be considered, including a successful record of opening and closing new business.

  • At least 1-3 years in a sales or customer-facing role, preferably in packaging, manufacturing, or a related industry.
  • Basic understanding of packaging materials and products, especially corrugated boxes and their uses.
  • Familiarity with B2B (business-to-business) sales processes and customer relationship management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients, negotiate, and close sales.
  • Ability to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience specifically in corrugated packaging sales or in a similar industry (e.g., packaging, logistics, or manufacturing).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building long-term client relationships.
  • Familiarity with packaging design and customization, including working with designers to create solutions.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex sales cycles.
