Job description

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ordering & Procurement: Identify, order, and track supplies needed to replenish inventory for customer sales based on usage reports, ensuring accuracy to procure inventory in a timely manner.
  • Inventory Control: Receive orders and match to purchase orders to ensure accuracy, inspect for damage, and update inventory systems.
  • Technician Support: Coordinate delivery of supplies to customers, assist with sourcing of products, providing product information to technicians if needed.
  • Returns & Credits: Process returns for unused, incorrect, or defective parts to vendors, ensuring proper credit for the customer.
  • Communication & Vendor Management: Serve as the point of contact for vendor inquiries, provide updates on backordered supplies to customers, and negotiate with suppliers.

Typical Requirements

  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in an auto body collision facility or similar automotive parts environment is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive refinishing materials.
  • Physical: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods.
