Senior Preconstruction Manager – Electrical Construction

Location: Denver Metro Area, CO | Onsite | Full-Time

About the Role

The Senior Preconstruction Manager will lead the preconstruction team, ensuring accurate estimates, bid strategy execution, and high-quality deliverables. This role is integral to business development and client relationship management, reporting directly to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the preconstruction team across all levels of experience
  • Coordinate bidding, estimating, and pre-bid strategy
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors and owners
  • Ensure take-offs, estimates, and bids are accurate and delivered on time
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure project alignment
  • Support business development through networking, client engagement, and strategic planning
  • Participate in industry events, job walks, and client meetings
  • Assist with process improvements and department training

Qualifications

Required:

  • 10+ years in Electrical Construction, with a strong focus on preconstruction and estimating
  • 5+ years in leadership roles, leading and mentoring teams
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills
  • Experience with preconstruction software (e.g., Accubid, Primavera, LiveCount Cloud, Bluebeam, Navisworks)
  • Solid understanding of NEC code
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform under tight deadlines and competing priorities
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Colorado Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Field experience and exposure to commercial, residential, and industrial construction

Work Environment

  • Fully onsite in Denver Metro Area
  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $120,000–$170,000 (depending on experience)
