Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Sr. Precon Manager in Charlotte, NC. The Sr. Precon Manager leads the preconstruction phase to ensure projects are established with precision, innovation, and value-driven solutions. This role is responsible for spearheading detailed estimates, performing value engineering, and collaborating across teams to develop comprehensive project schedules and scopes of work. The ideal candidate brings 5-7 years of estimating experience and a strong technical background in construction management.

Job Type: Permanent

Annual Salary: $150,000 to $175,000 Annually BOE

Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead detailed cost estimates and quantitative surveys that set projects up for success.
  • Create impactful value engineering studies that enhance building performance while optimizing costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive CPM project schedules.
  • Craft meticulous scopes of work that provide clarity and direction to project stakeholders.
  • Conduct field inspections that bridge the gap between preconstruction and execution.
  • Utilize Sage Estimating software to manage and track project data and cost information.
  • Prepare detailed energy modeling studies to support building performance and sustainability.
  • Maintain thorough working knowledge of project plans and specifications to ensure budget alignment.
  • Leverage construction expertise to ensure projects start with precision and innovation.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in a construction-related field (Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Technology, etc.) is required.
  • 5-7 years of Estimating experience in a professional construction environment.
  • Working knowledge of Sage Estimating Software is preferred.
  • Previous experience in both estimating and project management is preferred.
  • Experience in preparing detailed energy modeling studies is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with Primavera software scheduling is a plus.
  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Office software, including MS Word and MS Excel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to conduct field inspections, which may involve walking on construction sites and uneven terrain.
  • Frequently required to use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision for detailed computer work and documentation review.
  • Light to moderate lifting may be required occasionally.
  • Must be able to travel to various project sites as needed.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $150,000 to $175,000 annually, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
