The Opportunity: Quality Inspector
Primary Function: The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting inspections of assemblies and machined parts. In this role, you will provide support to the Quality and Engineering teams in investigating corrective actions and uphold the maintenance of inspection records and documentation in accordance with government, customer, and company standards.
Essential Functions
  • Perform dimensional inspections on both in-process and finished machined parts and products using measurement techniques and equipment.
  • Inspect weldments and fabricated products
  • Inspect the finished product (painting and powder coat)
  • Inspect assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Use experience with common metrology tools including calipers, and micrometers to measure parts.
  • CMM programming as needed.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Reports To: Quality Manager
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum education level of High School, GED, or its equivalent
  • Familiarity with ISO-compliant manufacturing environments
  • Ability to read blueprints and proficient understanding of GD&T
  • 3+ years of CMM operation/programming
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of inspection experience in a precision machining environment
  • 5+ years of CMM experience
  • Previous exposure to operation and programming of CMM equipment
  • Smart Scope vision system experience using ZONE3 Metrology Software
