Job description

Entry level position within Orafol Precision Technology tool room
***This is a second shift position***
Essential Functions:
  • Learn to set up and operates the proper equipment to produce specified dimensions and finishes on a wide range of metals, alloys, plastics, wood and other materials.
  • Learn to use all measuring instruments and works to close tolerances.
  • Learn to use such machines as lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, etc.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required and with short notice. This is a day shift position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Follow prescribed safety guidelines in accordance to ORAFOL Americas Safety program; use required PPE
  • Maintains an optimal level of product quality and adheres to ORAFOLs Quality Program

Education Requirements:
  • High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Some knowledge of optics preferred.

Work Experience:
  • 0-2 years experience in a precision machining
  • PC Skills

Aptitudes & Characteristics:
  • Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
  • Requires close attention to detail and methodical approach to work processes.
  • Must has a positive can do attitude and a sense of accountability; takes initiative.
