Schedule & Shift Details:
  • Shift: Night Shift.

  • Hours: Typically starts between 5 p.m. - 5 a.m.

  • Home Daily: Local routes ensure you are back home at the end of every shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Precision Operation: Drive and operate commercial frontload equipment along designated routes to collect solid waste during low-traffic, nighttime hours.

  • Technical Maneuvering: Expertly navigate trucks into and out of tight spaces and minimum clearance areas using mirrors and advanced vehicle lighting.

  • Site Security: Access container enclosures or gates; ensure all gates are properly secured after service to maintain customer site security overnight.

  • Safety Leadership: Conduct comprehensive pre- and post-trip inspections (DVIR). Maintain a DOT logbook and vehicle condition reports.

  • Community Stewardship: Clear loose trash off the ground around containers to maintain clean customer sites and road safety.

  • Compliance: Adhere to all DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, and EPA regulations, including Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.

Requirements:
  • License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class A or B.

  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of commercial driving experience OR a certificate from an accredited CDL school.

  • Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Safety: Ability to pass a background check, DOT physical, and drug screen.

  • Night Vision: Exceptional spatial awareness and ability to operate heavy equipment in low-light/nighttime conditions.

Physical & Mental Demands:
  • Physicality: Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs repetitively; occasionally move up to 100 lbs (rolling 3-4 yard containers on casters).

  • Agility: Ability to stand, walk, climb in/out of the cab, and maintain balance in various outdoor conditions.

  • Resilience: Comfortable working 100% outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, cold, heat).

  • Independence: Ability to work effectively during night hours with minimal supervision while maintaining high productivity.
