Position Summary

Brake Press Operator will be responsible for plans, lays out, and performing all types of sheet metal operations to fabricate wide variety of units or products of complex design involving close tolerances.

Shift: 

1st Shift Monday to Thursday, 6am-4pm 


Brake Press Operator Responsibilites 

  • Operate and perform setup of all types of sheet metal machines to bend, cut or form parts
  • Use a variety of sheet metal hand tools and measuring instruments
  • Perform shop mathematics at an intermediate level
  • Read and understand blueprints at an intermediate level
  • Enter production information into the ERP system on a timely basis
  • Accurately record and report hours worked
  • Adhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required
  • Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
  • Partner with other business segments:  sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
  • Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
  • Participate in required company meetings
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S)
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSAโ€™s and certifications)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 2 years of experience in brake press setup
  • Ability to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Ability to take direction from the area manager
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)

USD $23.08 - USD $33.46 /Hr.

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full hiring range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
