Job description

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Responsibilities

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will perform all duties and tasks under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist may be assigned to the following shifts: 6:30 AM-7:00 PM; 9:00 AM-9:30 PM; 11:00 AM011:30 PM, including weekends and holidays and to various ORs and specialties including OB as needed. Worksite location will be both the Orange and Irvine campuses. Under the supervision of an anesthesiologist, perform safe anesthesia care, consisting of the following: pre-operative assessment, writing of appropriate pre-op orders as specified by approved standard procedure, administration of all types of anesthetic and techniques, patient monitoring intra-operatively, provides for safe intra-op course and emergence and assists as necessary in post-operative care.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nurse anesthesia
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Valid California Nurse Anesthetist license
  • Valid California Registered Nurse license

Special Conditions:

  • Hours: Shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, call and holidays.
