Job description

Coordinates all activities through the Pre-op/PACU phases of surgical services. Provides age-specific care and is able to monitor and recognize changes in physiological status. The RN promotes the hospital's mission and vision by assisting in the creation of an environment of teamwork and excellence in meeting the healthcare needs of the community. Reports to the Perioperative Nurse Manager and the Director of Perioperative Services
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of an accredited school professional nursing
Experience and Qualifications:
• PACU: Minimum of 2 year experience in an ICU or in perianesthesia services in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• PRE-OP: previous preop or Medical Surgicalexperience preferred.
• Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills
• Demonstrate emotional maturity and ability to function effectively when under stress
• Organizational and prioritizing skills are essential
Licenses/Certificates:
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of California
• PACU: Certification in BLS/ACLS upon hire, CPAN preferred.
• Preop: Certification in BLS/ACLS upon hire
• Must complete/maintain required annual competencies per hospital policy.

The pay range for this position is $45.00-$74.19/hr
